Head Chef – Generator Dublin

Overview – About Generator Dublin
Generator Dublin is located in the Smithfield neighbourhood, adjacent to the Jameson Distillery, a short walk from Temple Bar.
The hostel features open social spaces, a café and bar with reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and original stonework, creating an unruffled industrial feel.
The city's mix of culture, music, and historic Georgian architecture informs our hospitality experience.
Nuts and Bolts of the Job
Take control, accountability, and ownership of the management of the kitchen and its daily operations
Control and direct the food preparation process and other related activities
Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations, with the courage to try something different and deliver innovative, locally inspired food & beverage offerings appropriate to the guest community
Monitor and control stock levels
Work within the departmental budget figures, maximizing revenue and minimizing expenditure
Produce departmental forecasts as required and communicate figures to the team to aid their understanding of the business and the importance of their contribution to success
Set up control systems to ensure all goods received are checked against delivery notes and invoices
Know all statutory legislation and ensure H&S, food hygiene and Fire Safety compliance
Operate a clean, hygienic kitchen at all times
Keep up to date with local food trends
Coach and lead the team to deliver an exceptional level of service that makes guests want to return
Identify training needs and maintain development plans for staff
Ensure the team continually improves product knowledge to maximize revenue and service
Other duties as reasonably required

Your Rock Star Experience
Experience in hospitality/service in a similar capacity for at least 3 years
