Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver precise technical drawings for solar PV systems, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and commercial installations.
Interpret data from site surveys and translate it into accurate design plans.
Prepare drawings, bill of materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for projects.
Ensure designs comply with Irish and EU standards, building regulations, and grid connection requirements.
Work closely with the sales team, project managers and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Stay updated on the latest design software, tools, and industry trends to enhance project quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
1 year+ experience in a design engineering role (Ideally).
Previous experience with design software such as AutoCAD.
Prior experience using Solar PV designing tools such as Helioscope, PVSyst, PVSol, HOMER, etc is desired.
Ability to produce accurate and detailed technical documents.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address design challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel to project sites and adapt to varying project requirements.
