Part Time hours availableDiscover Limerick DAC is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Visitor Services Assistants to join our team at Adare Heritage Centre.Our mission at Discover Limerick is to curate memorable visitor experiences at key destinations throughout the city and county.We strive to enrich visitors' initial and lasting impressions of Limerick through exceptional service and the celebration of its unique history, stories, built fabric, and people.Presently, we proudly champion Limerick through our initiatives at King John's Castle, Adare Visitor Centre, and Lough Gur.The Role of Visitor Services Assistant, will be varied across different shift times, tasks and different colleagues.You will possess high energy, have a love of learning and be customer service obsessed.This is a varied, hands-on role that offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant visitor attraction.The successful candidate will support multiple areas of the business including Retail, Admissions, Café, Guided Tours/Animation, Events & Programming, and Cleaning.You will possess high energy, have a love of learning and be customer service obsessed.What you will do :Interact with visitors in a pleasant friendly and helpful mannerDemonstrate a helpful and informed knowledge of the tourism offer and visitor information for Limerick and the Discover Limerick sites.Café - Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages and light meals, ensuring products are presented to a high standard.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all café areas, including tables, counters, food preparation spaces, and kitchen equipment.Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all customers, supporting a friendly and efficient service.Assist with stock rotation, stock-taking, and the accurate completion of end-of-day cash-up procedures.While the café will be the primary focus of this role, flexibility to support other duties across the site may occasionally be required (included below).Retail - Assist customers in the gift shop, Operate the till and handle payments, Restock shelves and maintain a clean and inviting retail space.Admissions - Greet and welcome visitors, process ticket sales and issue entry passes, participate in upselling of site facilities and services, dealing with queries and reservations through phone and email, handle cash and card payments and complete daily cash-up procedures.Animator / Tour Guide - Deliver engaging and informative guided tours, Bring the history of the site to life through interactive storytelling and roleplay, Engage with visitors of all ages in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.Events / Programming - Support the General Manager in delivering seasonal and themed events and in welcoming groups.Assist in set-up, delivery of events, and take-down/reset of event spaces.Cleaning - Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site, including: Hoovering, mopping, and dusting of the exhibition, café, retail, and event spaces, Cleaning visitor and staff toilets and the staff canteen, Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriatelyShift Patterns & Working Hours:This is a flexible role requiring availability for morning, afternoon., and evening shifts.The business operates seven days a week, and shifts will be scheduled based on visitor demand, the tourism season, and special events.Your shifts will always be a minimum of 5 hours in length, averaging 6 hours per day.Occasional travel between sites may be required.Shift Types:Morning Shift: Starting at 8am or 9am with your team, your role will be to get our site ready for the day where that is helping in the café, Assisting with site setup, admissions areas, retail, site hygiene and general preparation for the day.Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, your role will be to ensure our sites are spotlessly clean, well presented, helping customers with queries/information/bookings on the shop floor and working on tills or in the café to give a welcoming experience to our visitorsLate shift: From your start time in the afternoon, your role will be to ensure our visitors experience is top class by serving them with a smile while on the tills, in the café, restocking missing items and getting the shop and café ready for the next day by cleaning and following merchandising principles before closing time.Why Join Us?Be part of a team that promotes Limerick's heritage and culture.Gain valuable experience in tourism, hospitality, and customer service.Work in a dynamic and engaging environment.For the full job description please emailTo apply, please send your CV and Cover Letter to Please note any applications submitted through Indeed only will not be considered.Job Type: Part-timePay: Up to €***** per hourExpected hours: No less than 15 per weekBenefits:On-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Adare Heritage Centre, Adare, CO.Limerick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Work Location: In person
