Ealga Lodge Nursing Home are currently seeking Healthcare Assistants (HCA) who would be available for day & night shifts to join the teamWe provide the very highest standard in nursing home care with the resident at the centre of every decision and action we take.We are proud of the service we provide and how we meet the high expectations of our residents and their families.Role: Healthcare AssistantAccountable To: Director of NursingReports To: Nurse in ChargeFunctionHealthcare Assistants are required to promote a caring environment for residents through high standards of professional practice which are conductive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the Residents of the Home.Main ActivitiesSupporting the Nursing Staff and team in delivering quality person-centred care to meet the needs of residentsEnabling and assisting residents to maintain their personal appearance/hygiene needs whilst always maintaining their dignityEnabling and assisting residents to eat/drink and achieve physical comfortMaintain accurate and thorough care recordsTo communicate effectively with residents, staff and relatives.Required:QQI Level 5 or equivalent in Healthcare SupportGood communication skillsDesirable:One year's experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a Nursing Home or similar environmentJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeExperience:Caring: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: €*****-€***** per hourExperience:caring: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
