Guided by Nurse Managers across 25 offices nationwide, Bluebird Care has revolutionized Home Care in Ireland.Our Clinical Nurse Managers offer exceptional support and training to our Healthcare Assistants, significantly enhancing the quality of life for our Clients.We are currently seeking empathetic and reliable individuals to become part of our team as Healthcare Assistants across Kinnity & Birr.Benefits IncludeEarning up to €***** per hourCompensation for travelCompetitive hourly and 1/2 hourly rates€250 refer-a-friend programFlexible work schedulePaid every second FridayComplimentary uniformsNo charge for Garda vettingFree manual handling trainingCareer advancement opportunitiesSupport with QQI enrolment, if requiredCarer of the Month awardsAround-the-clock support from a nurse-led teamEmployee Assistance ProgramBike to Work schemeThe role's purpose is to assist our clients with all facets of their daily living.Care will be provided in the client's home, and it is crucial that all services are rendered in a manner that is safe, compassionate, and caring.Duties includeProviding personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high-dependency care, supervising medication, and addressing light housework/basic shopping needs.Adhering to the client's Care Plan, which outlines the individual nature of services.Facilitating social interactions and activities, offering companionship.Promoting independence.Observing, listening to, and engaging with clients to foster positive relationships with them and their families.Being punctual and managing time efficiently.Upholding the confidentiality policy.Communicating any changes or concerns regarding client needs/care to the office.Documenting and reporting any incidents.Complying with Health & Safety regulations.Minimum Qualifications And ExperienceCompletion of at least 2 modules: QQI Care Skills and QQI Care of the Older Person.A minimum of one year's experience in a healthcare setting.Possession of a clean Garda Vetting Certificate and, if applicable, an International Police Clearance Certificate.Willingness to undergo a medical examination to obtain a medical fitness certificate for work.Holding a driver's license, owning transport, and being proficient in using Google Maps to locate client homes.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness.A good understanding of GDPR, especially its importance in working with the elderly.Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
