In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure, and empowering clients, you will assist the Finance Operations team by ensuring Finance systems are robust and support digital transformation through testing reports and enhancements, providing end users with the necessary information to achieve our strategic goals.
This role aims to optimize the use of Finance Systems and promote best practices within systems.
It supports ESB Networks in workflows, processes, and reporting, maximizing SAP S/4HANA and BW System utilization.
You will assist with system upgrades via System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate user queries, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Support enhancements to SAP finance systems by assisting with change requests from initiation to completion.
Upskill in Finance systems – SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group reporting, and SAP BPC.
Develop and maintain relationships with Finance Process Owners, IT, and Business Unit stakeholders.
Perform system testing for upgrades and project updates; document test scripts and results in QC.
Manage inbox and triage queries efficiently.
Assist the master data team in creating and maintaining master data.
Experience and Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience as an SAP end user.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement root cause solutions.
Understanding of end-to-end financial processes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional accounting qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
Location
This position is based at ESB H.O., Lower Fitzwilliam St, Dublin 2.
ESB supports flexible working arrangements, combining digital tools with a culture of trust.
The successful candidate may work flexibly with in-person attendance at least one day per week, subject to managerial approval and operational needs.
