Head of Finance - Dublin

An exciting, fast-growing SME in Dublin is looking for a hands-on Head of Finance to lead their financial strategy, strengthen internal controls, and prepare the business for its next phase of growth.

This is a newly created role, reflecting the company's rapid expansion and the need for strong financial leadership as they prepare for future funding rounds and improved financial governance.

While day-to-day accounting will remain outsourced, we're seeking someone who can take ownership of financial controls, implement robust processes, and play a key role in guiding the business through its scale-up journey.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading financial strategy and strengthening internal controls
  • Preparing the business for future funding rounds and building strong banking relationships
  • Managing credit risk and supporting funding initiatives
  • Driving process improvements and embedding scalable financial systems
  • Acting as the lead finance partner for the business, working closely with the leadership team

What we're looking for:

  • SME/start-up or scale-up experience – comfortable in a hands-on role
  • Proven experience in fundraising and managing bank relationships
  • Strong background in financial controls and process improvement
  • Experience in the Irish market preferred
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach – someone who can roll up their sleeves and make an impact
