OverviewJenn at Wallace Myers International is sourcing a Lab Operations Manager for a Global client based in West Cork.Contact me on ********* and email the link below.ResponsibilitiesManagement of Laboratory Technicians across both the microbiology and chemistry laboratoriesOptimise rotas to ensure continuity and maximise efficiencyPlanning and coordinating the daily analytical requirements and prioritising work in line with business needsLiaising with the Quality Manager in the day-to-day activities including the reporting of results in advance of daily operational meetingsLeading the Laboratory team to optimise their personal development, skills, competency, performance and efficiencyCo-ordinate Laboratory proficiency schemes and carrying out periodic Performance Development ReviewsCo-ordinate the collection of samples and despatch of same to 3rd party labsEnsure that all results are recorded in Bamboo-LIMS in an accurate and timely mannerWork with Grading Officer to ensure BP QC release and grading is completed accurately and efficientlyEnsure the Laboratory follows all required quality and food safety standardsPlan and lead Laboratory infrastructure type projects as requiredEnsure method changes and developments are implemented in a controlled manner ensuring validation and training is completed as they need arisesResponsible for the implementation of various programs as applied to the Laboratory Team and environmentResponsible for Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal ControllerInterface with HR in relation to employee relations issuesUpdate relevant HR systems for Laboratory team on a weekly basisAbout You2 years experience in a quality management/supervisory role in the food/healthcare/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is requiredThird level qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or equivalent requiredKnowledge of quality and food safety legislationProven track record in overachieving KPI's and Operational TargetsSAP experience highly desirableProficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process dataProven problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAll applications will be treated with the strictest of confidenceAt Wallace Myers International Recruitment Agency we specialise in sourcing professionals for key industries and services.See our website for more details.Privacy Policy:By applying for this role you are agreeing that your details will be stored in our database and may be considered for similar future positions.For more info see wallacemyers.ie/privacy-policy#J-*****-Ljbffr
