Our client, a fast-growing multinational manufacturing business based in Shannon, is seeking a
Purchasing & Procurement Manager
to lead their operational purchasing team and drive global supply chain excellence.
This is a newly created role, reflecting the company's evolution from SME to medium-sized enterprise.
You'll be joining a dynamic, engineered-to-order environment where innovation, speed, and precision are key.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and mentor a team of 3 buyers in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Manage global supplier relationships across Europe, China, and the USA.
Drive KPIs around on-time delivery, cost savings, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Implement Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) strategies and freight cost reduction initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and warehousing teams.
Maintain procurement policies aligned with ISO and internal quality standards.
Support accurate forecasting and long-term supplier planning.
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience in procurement leadership within manufacturing or engineering.
Strong track record in supplier management, cost control, and performance delivery.
Commercially savvy with experience negotiating international supplier and logistics contracts.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
