Automation Tester – Banking Experience

OverviewAre you an experienced Automation Tester with experience in the banking sector?
We invite you to join our team of Technical Engineers.
In this role, you will take responsibility for a specific technical area, ensuring quality and efficiency.
As an Automation Tester, you will work on quality engineering projects using the latest frameworks and tools (Playwright & Typescript, Azure DevOps,GIT).
You will develop and execute test plans, ensuring projects meet their goals on time and within budget.
Your expertise will help maintain the integrity and reliability of our banking systems.
ResponsibilitiesProject Involvement: Work on various phases of a project or multiple small projects of moderate scope, including complex assignments.Technical Responsibility: Take charge of a specific technical area, focusing on results evaluation, problem resolution, and planning.Standards and Tools: Select appropriate standards, methods, tools, and applications for project use.Data Analysis: Apply data analysis and modelling techniques to modify or maintain data structures and their components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions).Programming: Design, code, test, and document simple programs or scripts, and assist in implementing software as part of a well-engineered system.Information Coordination: Coordinate information gathering and reporting processes, conduct research to define problems, and prepare responses to anticipated questions.Risk Management: Identify project risks accurately and report them effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Manage issues, risks, actions, dependencies, and defects to ensure project success.Traceability: Create traceability records from test cases back to requirements.Quality Reporting: Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases.Test Script Production: Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs for testing new and amended software or services.Team Guidance: Maintain project status and provide guidance to junior team members, working across teams to achieve group goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experienceISTQB FoundationEssential skillsClient-Facing Skills: Ability to interact effectively with clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that meet their expectations.Teamwork and Emotional Intelligence: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work well with others, understand team dynamics, and manage interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.Self-Management: Commitment to continuous performance improvement, treating it as both a goal and a mindset.Innovative Approach: Being a bold thinker and doer, combining creativity with careful attention to detail and vigilance.Openness and Transparency: Valuing honesty and openness in communication and actions, fostering a culture of trust and integrity.Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, including the ability to present ideas and information to various audiences.Technical Experience: Proficiency and experience in using Playwright and TypeScript for automation testing, as well as familiarity with Azure DevOps and GIT for project management and version control.Selenium with Java: Experience in using Selenium with Java for test automation.ExperienceIntermediate theoretical knowledge in quality engineering methodologies and has awareness of opportunities provided by new and emerging technologies and products.Has good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge and has practical experience of engineering tools and platforms required to deliver.Experience and knowledge in any of the performance testing, data and test automation tools such as HP Performance Centre/LoadRunner, HP UFT /QTP, HP Service Test, Service Virtualize, SoapUI, CA LISA, CA GridTools Data Maker/ DataManager, JMeter, Neoload, Selenium, IBM Rational Integration Tester, Rational Robot, Borland SilkTest, TOSCA, Atlassian Jira, Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin etc.Programming knowledge (ideally VB, Java, C#) and technical expertise in script languages (Shell, Perl, etc.).
