The Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage and delivery of goods, ensuring they reach customers and outlets efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.
This role manages warehouse operations, transport logistics, and team performance to support the business supply chain goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day distribution operations, including warehousing, transport, and inventory.
Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Lead, coach, and develop distribution teams.
Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, Accidents, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
Liaise with internal departments (sales, procurement, production) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs).
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage budgets and oversee stock control systems.
Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in a logistics, transport, or distribution management role.
Strong understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to analyse data, track KPIs, and make informed decisions.
Experience in leading and managing teams.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS, ILM) are desirable.
