The Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage and delivery of goods, ensuring they reach customers and outlets efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This role manages warehouse operations, transport logistics, and team performance to support the business supply chain goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day distribution operations, including warehousing, transport, and inventory.
- Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Lead, coach, and develop distribution teams.
- Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, Accidents, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
- Liaise with internal departments (sales, procurement, production) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs).
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage budgets and oversee stock control systems.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Proven experience in a logistics, transport, or distribution management role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyse data, track KPIs, and make informed decisions.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS, ILM) are desirable.
