R&D Technologist

C&D Foods, one of Europe's largest pet food manufacturers, is looking for a driven R&D Technologist to join our Research & Development team in Edgeworthstown.
In this exciting role, you'll work on the full journey of product development - from idea to launch - across a variety of pet food formats.
You'll collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and innovative products that meet both market and customer needs.
What you'll be doing: Leading and supporting new product development projects from concept to launch.
Modifying and improving existing products to meet customer expectations.
Designing recipes and overseeing nutritional, palatability, and analytical trials.
Preparing product specifications and supporting customer visits, audits, and presentations.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners to bring new ideas to life.
What we're looking for: A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Animal Science, or similar.
At least 2 years' experience in NPD (food or pet food industry preferred).
Strong technical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative team player with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
