Ballyheane Buttercups is recruiting for an enthusiastic Graduate Lead Educator for our wobbler room, working with children aged 18 months to 3 years.This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday for up to 8 hours per day.We offer you:A warm, welcoming and supportive work environment where you will be a valued member of our teamRegular staff support and supervision to ensure an enjoyable working environmentNon contact time for curriculum planningA company uniformAdditional employee benefits after 5 years and 10 years of commitment to the companyFantastic outdoor facilities to avail of with the childrenSome in house training as required for the needs of the serviceGraduate Early Years Educator duties include but not limited to:Looking after the daily care and individual needs of wobbler aged children.Planning and engaging in appropriate activities to facilitate the potential and development of each childCreating an environment that is both safe and exciting for the childrenWorking as part of a team.Excellent communication skills verbal and written with children, parents and staff alikeAppreciate the role of parents, and establish strong relationships with them in the best interests of the childrenPlanning and observations.Observe, record and report children' progressionFollowing the Aistear curriculum and Síolta standards in creating a stimulating child-led inquiry based curriculumEnsuring all paperwork is kept up to dateCreating an inclusive environment where children feel respected, and heard.Adhering to and maintaining all company policies and proceduresEnsuring the cleanliness of your room, sweeping, hoovering and mopping as neededEnsure an organised and stimulating environment for the children to enjoy each dayRequirements for childcare practitionerCandidates must hold a minimum of QQI Level 7 qualification in Early years education or equivalent childcare qualification.Strong work ethicBe able to work as part of a team and on their own initiativeHave good Health and Safety awarenessEnthusiasm for the roleBe knowledgeable in Aistear and SíoltaHave experience in planning and carrying out age appropriate curriculumUnderstand and follow TUSLA regulationsBe naturally warm and respectful towards children and their needsBe committed to working with early years and a willingness to engage in CPDExperience of working with children aged 18 months to 3 years is preferred but not essential.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:On-site parkingSick payLicence/Certification:FETAC/ QQI Level 7 in Childcare (required)Work Location: In person
