About 021 ElectricianBased in the heart of Cork City, 021 Electrician is a thriving and forward-thinking electrical contracting company.Known for high-quality work and outstanding service, we specialise in domestic installations, solar PV, and commercial maintenance.Our mission is to provide reliable, innovative, and sustainable electrical solutions that help homes, farms, and businesses across Ireland reduce costs, improve efficiency, and embrace renewable energy.We are expanding our team and looking for a Business Development Manager who is passionate about sustainability and ambitious about growth.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team.In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, following up on existing opportunities, and closing deals.You'll also conduct site visits to scope projects, prepare proposals, and ensure clients receive a professional handover with outstanding service.This is a hands-on position combining sales, client engagement, and technical site surveys.You'll play a key role in driving the growth of our renewable and electrical services by promoting our solutions and delivering a best-in-class client experience.Job Description – Business Development Manager Role PurposeThe Business Development Manager will drive growth for 021 Electrician by generating and following up on leads, developing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in the renewable energy and electrical services sector.This role combines sales, client engagement, and site surveys to ensure smooth project delivery and long-term client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and research new business opportunities across solar PV, commercial maintenance, and power monitoring.Generate and follow up on leads, ensuring a consistent and active pipeline.Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, businesses, contractors, architects, and local authorities.Conduct site visits (1–2 days per week) to scope projects, take measurements, assess risks, and prepare professional notes and video walkthroughs.Advise clients on the benefits of renewable energy solutions tailored to their needs.Prepare and present proposals, including cost-benefit analyses.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth project planning and delivery.Support contract negotiations, focusing on customer satisfaction.Stay up to date with renewable technologies, building regulations, and government incentives.Manage client and project data using CRM and management tools (e.g., ServiceM8).Work with the marketing team to develop sales campaigns and boost brand awareness.Provide concise weekly reports to management on pipeline, leads, and conversions.Ensure professional presentation standards at all times (smart attire and PPE where required).The Ideal CandidateDegree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).Experience in business development, sales, or account management (renewables, construction, or electrical sector desirable).Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Familiarity with the commercial and agricultural sectors is advantageous.Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital field tools.Financially literate with experience in cost-benefit analysis.Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised.Passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.Full clean driving licence (essential).What We OfferCompetitive base salary (€45,000–€55,000).Uncapped commission structure for self sourced converted leads.Pension scheme and health insurance.Company vehicle, phone, and laptop.Comprehensive training and onboarding.Excellent work-life balance.Career progression opportunities in a growing company.Job Type: Full-timePay: €45,******-€55,****** per yearBenefits:Company carCompany pensionOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
