We are recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor to provide quality service to our guests in line with The Red Carnation Hotels standards.Who are we?The Lodge at Ashford Castle is sitting within the magnificent 350 acre estate of Ashford Castle, this property overlooks magical Lough Corrib.Originally built in ****, The Lodge offers country house charm, fine dining in Wilde's Restaurant and an exceptional range of estate activities.One of Ireland's finest wedding destinations, pairing warm Irish hospitality with a modern appeal.We are currently looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to join our Fine Dining Team in ''Wildes at The Lodge'' located in The Lodge at Ashford Castle on Ashford Estate.The main focus will be to personally provide and supervise the service of food and beverages to our wonderful guests and in line with company standards.Key Responsibilities Of The Restaurant Supervisor Will IncludeTo support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring efficient, friendly and professional service within the outlets, ensuring that they meet the required Hotel/RCH Service StandardsTo monitor daily operations within the outlets, liaising closely with the Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Operations Manager and the Head Chef to ensure that the Food & Beverage operation is organised effectively to meet daily business needsTo manage the Food & Beverage service in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, taking ownership of the operation to ensure that all guests receive an efficient, friendly and professional service at all timesTo be fully aware of Hotel Function Sheets and Guest Bookings, ensuring each outlet has sufficient equipment, resources and staffing levels to meet the business demandsTo assist the Restaurant Manager in implementing cost control and stock control measuresTo be actively involved in all aspects of daily operations in a 'hands on' capacityThe Ideal Candidate For The Restaurant Supervisor Position ShouldBe a motivated and driven individual, who has a passion for Food & Beverage, guest care and hospitalityHave significant previous experience in a similar Food & Beverage functionPossess a strong knowledge and passion for Food & BeverageHave the ability to manage all cost controls e.g. food cost, labour etc.Have experience of staff training, rotas, financial reporting, stock control and orderingHave excellent communication and team leadership skillsPossess excellent organisational skillsHave the ability to handle pressurized situations and busy periodsBe flexible, innovative and adaptableHave fluency in both written and spoken EnglishAlthough not necessary, a Hospitality related degree and previous experience in a supervisory role would be beneficial.Some Of The Benefits Available To The TeamProfessional, award winning training and development opportunitiesDiscounted accommodation rates with Red Carnation Hotel Collection & The Travel Corporation globallyAnnual Staff Appreciation Party and other Employee Recognition EventsDiscounted rates with many local businesses and third party service providers (including Estate Activities)Heavily subsidised accommodation (subject to availability)Uniforms provided and free meals on duty"Recommend a Friend" bonus schemeTwo paid volunteering days each yearShare your passion and be part of various committees within the estate such as sustainability, sports and social, well-being, diversity and inclusionJoin us in this incredible new opportunityWe are an equal opportunities employer.The successful candidate must also be legally eligible to work in Ireland.Lodge
