Architectural Technician

Background:Porteus PodsCurrently, we are producing 30 pods per week across 6 lines.All pods are built to our own shop drawings.We have circa 25 employees supporting the manufacturing of the pods with 3 supervisors monitoring all activities from pre-assembly to production.Role: Architectural TechnicianKey responsibilitiesTechnical drawing: Create detailed drawings and models for buildings and structures using CAD software.Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and statutory requirements.Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to finalize plans and resolve technical issues.Site work: Conduct site visits to gather data, take measurements, and inspect progress or completed work.Project support: Assist in preparing design presentations, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.Coordination: Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and with other professionals, such as building control specialists.Documentation: Prepare and organize project documents, specifications, and reports.Necessary skillsExcellent technical skills in modelling, preparation drawings and details in Revit are essential.Strong understanding of building codes and regulations (Ire UK)Excellent attention to detail and accuracyCollaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to review designs, incorporate feedback, and ensure overall design accuracy.Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilitiesKnowledge of construction materials and principlesAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsOrganizational skills
