**About the role**The Data and Analytics Engineer will help devise the strategy for and oversee the tactical delivery of the data analytics program, specifically for automations, within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our organization and spearhead our data analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business insights, implement data-driven strategies, and partner with a team of analysts to deliver high-impact solutions.
* Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions based on best practices and methodologies while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Empower our data engine through automations with scripting, such as Python, to extract, load, and transform (ELT / ETL) data from various sources.
* Enable strategic capabilities within our data warehouse, Snowflake, to advance and streamline our data warehousing and transformations.
* Utilize expertise in data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, to create visually compelling and insightful reports and dashboards.
* Automate processes using tools such as Power Automate.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, significant business questions and challenges, and key metrics for initiatives.
* Implement and optimize data models to support analytics, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, reliability, and security of data.
* Provide leadership in analyzing access patterns, user behavior, and security incidents to enhance policies and controls.
* Deliver outcomes with agile processes and a CI/CD mindset, incessantly seeking opportunities to automate, including use of AI/ML.
* Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data visualization, data warehouse, and scripting technologies as well as IAM and cybersecurity.
**What we're looking for*** Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in data analytics.
* 7+ years of experience with data analytics processes, including extracting, loading, transforming, and presenting data* Proficiency in Power BI and Snowflake, with the ability to create complex reports and manage large data models.
* Expertise with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.) and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
* Familiarity with AI/ML to improve capabilities and services related to data modeling and insights.
* Strong understanding of IAM / cybersecurity concepts, security principles, and data privacy regulations is a plus.
* Experience as a lead in data analytics projects is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
* Self-starter who is proactive, motivated, and resourceful individual who takes ownership of their work, embraces challenges, and consistently strives for excellence.
