CNM/Assistant Director of Nursing (Kilkenny)
Servisource is recruiting on behalf of a private nursing home group for a CNM/ADON position at their facility in Kilkenny.
The Nursing Home features 80 single ensuite bedrooms, furnished to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
Conduct internal audits and follow up on results
Manage staff induction, training, and development
Encourage innovative practices
Ensure compliance with Company and HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines
Hold regular communication meetings with clinical staff
Build relationships with community agencies and facilitate resident participation in local activities
Collaborate with Marketing to promote the Home in the community
Implement Health and Safety policies to ensure safety of staff and residents
Conduct fire training and evacuation drills
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Oversee preventative maintenance programs
Participate in staff recruitment and interviews
Conduct training needs assessments
Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when needed
Ensure clinical practice complies with Regulations & Standards
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in elder care within the last 6 years
Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field
Proven experience in healthcare management
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Sound decision-making skills and results-oriented approach
Ability to promote teamwork
Flexibility and adaptability to company needs
