We are looking for an Electrical Controls Designer to join our team based in Galway.The role would suit candidates holding a 3rd level qualification in Electrical and Automation systems, or senior trades qualified people with minimum 3 years further training and experience in industrial electrical control systems design, manufacturing, installation, fault-finding and commissioning.The role requires a strong ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative to implement electrical power and control circuitry designs on automated machinery, provide electrical control solutions and support project implementation.It will require the skills to liaise and work with customers to identify and evaluate systems integrity, safety and efficiency improvements.Previous experience working on electrical controls on automated machines would be a requirement.Previous experience with PLC's, HMI's, Robotics, Variable Speed Drives, Servo Drives, Sensors, Instrumentation and Machine Safety Systems would be an advantage.Previous electrical controls design and drawing experience using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, WSCAD, or Solidworks Electrical is required.AutoCAD Electrical experience is a distinct advantage.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Company pensionFlexitimeOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Galway, County Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Experience:Electrical Control Panel Design : 2 years (preferred)AutoCAD Electrical: 1 year (preferred)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
