ICON is currently looking to strengthen and expand our global Business Information team through the recruitment of a Business Information Associate I. This is a BD supporting position across all Service lines globally.
As the Business Information Associate II you will produce high-quality, sales-focused informational documents in response to internal and external Requests for Information (RFI) that distinguish ICON from its competitors.
Innovate and improve existing RFI responses and information collections, storage, presentation procedures, and systems.
Also, maintain ICON's global company information systems.
The Role
Analyze external RFIs for client needs and establish criteria and guidelines for response.
Liaise with Account Executive if clarifications are required.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of ICON information used for business development and marketing purposes.
Prepare responses to RFIs in a timely manner in adherence to ICON procedures and liaise with other department managers as necessary to achieve this.
Schedule RFI kick-off calls for more complex RFIs as necessary.
Work with and provide information to ICON global proposal developers for proposals requiring responses to RFI-type" questions as part of the RFP.
Assist with maintenance of ICON's a library of ICON metrics/case studies for use in business development responses.
Assist with maintenance of Project Database including obtaining updates from Operations Managers to assure database is current.
Proactively assist the sales team by creating innovative material to assist in the pre-RFP selling process.
Where appropriate, liaise with clients on RFI/proposal matters, in a coordinated manner with the relevant Account Manager.
Support training initiatives and other department initiatives.
Possible travel up to 10%
What you need
Bachelors Degree or local equivalent in science, business, technology or information technology or equivalent degree/experience.
Understanding of clinical research operations is strongly desired.
Strong writing and communication skills are essential.
Strong Excel skills preferred, but not essential
Oral and written fluency in English.
Exceptional attention to detail, timeliness, and quality.
Strong organizational skill set required including time management, demonstrated by the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize based upon continuous deadlines and new assignments.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to work under tight timelines with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and build successful cooperative relations with all internal contributors to the RFI.
Competent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to learn new programs and systems, such as Access.
Ability to liaise successfully with ICON Account Executives and clients.

Ideally looking for someone with a keen interest in customer service who is highly motivated (this is a small team in a fast-paced environment), willing to learn, and thrives in a collaborative environment
