Overview

Information Officer - North Connacht & Ulster CIS (Monaghan)

Employer: Citizens Information Board

Location: North Connacht & Ulster Citizens Information Service – Monaghan

Contract: Temporary Part-Time (Specified Purpose) 17.5 hours per week

End date: Week ending 15th May 2026 (expected)

Responsibilities
  • Direct delivery of information, advice, advocacy and referral services.
  • Liaison with other service providers, both statutory and voluntary.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good level of research and IT skills.
  • Leaving Certificate and/or equivalent education required.
  • Ideally, a higher-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g. social policy, human rights, social work/social care, legal qualification) and/or substantial previous work experience in a busy information/advice/advocacy environment.
Terms and Benefits
  • Salary: Full-time salary scale pro-rated for part-time work. Range: €32,270 to €49,234 (plus potential LSIs).
    Note: Salaries pro-rata for part-time work.
  • Annual leave entitlement: 23–25 days (after 5 years' service), pro-rata for part-time work.
  • Pension: 5% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution. Membership is mandatory.
  • Incremental Credit: New entrants may start at point one; an incremental credit process may apply. Eligibility assessed by the Board and subject to funding.
