Clinical Solutions - Prospective Risk and Quality Service, you will lead product owners and be responsible for functioning as the voice of the customer within product and engineering teams to ensure the specification, prioritization, delivery, and commercialization of RQ products.You will deliver on product strategy and vision, leading the strategic build of our data and analytics capabilities utilizing agile delivery process.The role is associated with the Optum Insight technology teams that provide prospective, concurrent, and retrospective quality and risk evaluations for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, ACA, and Medicaid plan members across UHC, Optum Health and other Commercial Payers.As aSenior Product Managerin this area, you will lead the delivery of marketable capabilities, and engage with key stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize features and collaborate with the agile scrums team to deliver.This role is initially focused on AI enhanced risk suspecting based on clinical/chart data and the tools, models, and process for managing risk revenue forecasting and attribution.You must have excellent communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills, and positive energy.You must be able to identify, facilitate, and drive a business solution to completion, along with the technical and business competency to ensure the correct outcome.Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and assist the development of new and existing products to meet customer needs working with product owners who are managing one or more scrum teams.Ensure that the voice of the customer has been captured as product capabilities and prioritized correctlyLead product owners to ensure capabilities have been deconstructed into features and four sprints worth of groomed user stories (a healthy backlog) that can be executed by the scrum teamsWork with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders, including data, analytics, engineering, and user experience teams providing direction and ensuring that the voice of the customer elicited through your research and commissioned research is representedLead product owner teams in all phases of the product development life cycle including deployment, post-live support, operational support, and commercialisationLead and assist activities like sprint planning, retrospectives, PI planning, product roadmap and backlog reviewPartner with the business to identify and create strategies to improve products and services offered to our customersEnsure solution integration, leading business process development as appropriate and assessing the value vs. cost dynamics as the product is pitched, built, deployed, maintained, operated, and soldWork with senior leadership to communicate product vision, roadmap, and performance.Ensure material used for weekly and monthly reporting of progress is up to date and accurateIdentify training needs, coach, and mentor teamsYou will be rewarded and recognised for your in.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree (or higher) in sciences or technology OR equivalent experience delivering innovative technology products to customersExtensive experience in product strategy or business development either in a strategy organization or new business preferably in healthcare or any related domainExtensive experience in the healthcare analytics space on clinical and claims data sources preferably in the risk adjustment and quality domainExtensive experience in agile software development methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional product owners, data scientists, business SMEs and agile engineering teamsProduct understanding and skill set, including customer-centric design and developmentTechnical understanding of AI/ML, cloud-based architectures, data engineering, automated UAT and modern software development life cycles to constructively challenge technical approaches and decisions as neededTrack record of the management and delivery of large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs from a product perspective managing teams of product managers/ownersPreferred QualificationsExperience with US healthcare and healthcare claims and clinical dataSubject matter experience in US CMS quality and risk programsSubject matter expertise in the Risk Adjustment spaceExperience with the specification, delivery, and commercialization of AI productsExperience working on cloud-based, enterprise applications with analytics componentsExperience working with Data Science teams developing clinical analytical componentsSAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or other relevant certificationsProduct owner / manager or equivalent certificationExperience with product management tools like Aha, Rally, and GitHubUnderstanding of architecture principles and DevOps methodologyExperience with integration testing/automation practicesSoft SkillsProven written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and customers with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into product requirements and managing the creation of initiatives, capabilities, features, user stories, roadmaps, end user documentation and marketing materialStructured thinker, able to mould ambiguity and uncertainty into clear actions and deliverables with a bias towards action and a 'go getter' mindset to ensure things happen once clear goals, priorities and objectives have been communicated.Proactive, creative problem-solver, able to address challenges head-on but also knowing when to escalate issues or when to solve them in the teamPrioritization skills and ability to drive focus – able to decide what is most critical or most urgent, and manage stakeholder expectations
