A full-time, 9 month fixed term contract position has arisen for an Urgent Care Physician working in our Limerick clinic.
What's on offer: Competitive salaryPerformance related bonusUnsocial hours allowanceCompany pension – up to 10% employer contributionHealth insuranceIncome protectionStudy leaveMedical indemnity paid for by VhiRole Purpose: Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentationsMinor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and woundsFacilitating referrals to specialistsInitial interpretation of x-rays and ECG'sIndicate any procedures doneTreat patients who attend the clinic for consultationEducation & Experience: Registered with the Irish Medical Council.Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience.Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.Flexibility across a 7-day roster.BLS certification.Skills and Abilities: Patient/customer focusedExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong communication skillsGood knowledge of risk management and clinical auditDemonstrated alignment to the Vhi valuesVhi is an equal opportunities employer.
