This Role
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our operations throughout Europe.
This position requires frequent travel to various project sites and client locations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all areas of the business.
Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, you will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental health and safety initiatives.
Role Requirements & Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) tailored to diverse customer and project environments.
· Act as the primary Health & Safety point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring their requirements are met.
· Provide on-site Health and Safety support, conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required.
· Deliver safety talks, briefings, and Health and Safety training to operational teams.
· Support tender and proposal development with safety documentation and planning.
· Ensure compliance with relevant EU and local H&S legislation across all jurisdictions.
· Regularly travel across Europe to oversee project safety performance and engage directly with clients and site teams.
· Guide and promote employee Health and Safety performance by assisting on developing Health and Safety systems,
programs and procedures.
· Maintain a Safety Committee to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, to enhance the overall site safety culture resulting in management engagement, employee involvement and the reduction in unsafe conditions and behaviours.
· Participate in incident investigations to finding root causes and Identifying aligned long-term corrective actions.
· Educate employees on how to prevent health problems using safety training programs with monthly safety talk topics.
· Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
Ability to be flexible in respect of work standards and demands.
Capable of working under pressure at Times and to strict deadlines.
Ability to complete tasks.
Resilient and able to deal with changing priorities.
The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate:
· Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers and customer at all levels of the
organisation.
· Proven experience in a Health & Safety role with a strong focus on RAMS preparation and implementation.
· Demonstrated ability to liaise directly with clients, including during project mobilization and delivery phases.
· Strong working knowledge of European health & safety legislation and industry best practices.
· NEBOSH or Relevant 3rd Level EHS Qualification is essential.
· Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (other European languages a plus).
· Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across Europe.
· Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is Essential.
· Demonstrated Initiative and Innovation.
· Proficient with MS Office and SharePoint
· Excellent organizational skills and strong Attention to detail.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Time management skills with the competence to manage multiple priorities' at once
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The following Qualifications, skills and experience would be an advantage.
· Experience with MS SharePoint in a corporate environment.
· ISO 45001:2018 or other quality management approaches.
· Manual Handling Train the Trainer.
· Safe Pass.
The remunerating package, including salary and benefits, is negotiable depending on experience.
