Responsibilities
An SDE-II in the VisXP team uses their knowledge to make quick two-way-door decisions and executes them to meet the team's patching visibility goals with guidance from leadership.
Influence the outcome of architecture and design efforts across the team, enhancing current products and developing new service offerings in support of AWS Security goals.
Work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand the business and customer value of our team's software to ensure we deliver the right solutions to help them achieve their security goals.
Champion operational excellence by identifying and executing opportunities to improve the team's operations, continuously enhancing customer experience and earning trust.
Take action to improve the stability, reliability, and performance of the service independently and in coordination with peers.
The work should positively impact software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of our services.
Mentor junior engineers on the team, act as a technical escalation point for operational issues, and participate actively in code reviews by providing meaningful feedback to others.

Basic Qualifications
Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
