Responsibilities

• An SDE-II on the VisXP team uses their knowledge and skills to make quick decisions and executes them to meet the team's patching visibility goals with guidance from leadership.
• Influence architecture and design efforts across the team, enhance current products, and develop new service offerings in support of AWS Security goals.
• Work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand the business and customer value of the team's software to ensure delivery of solutions that help achieve security goals.
• Champion operational excellence by identifying and executing opportunities to improve the team's operations, enhancing customer experience, and earning trust; improve the stability, reliability, and performance of the service independently and with peers.
• Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and act as a technical escalation point for operational issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
