projects, responsibility and real experience to maximise your talents as a GIS Technician.PositionThe Role....We are looking to recruit a Graduate GIS Technician to join our growing GIS team.The successful candidate will join an established team working mainly within the Gas utilities sector.The role will offer the opportunity to grow and develop as a GIS technician while gaining a technical understanding of the gas industry.The initial role will include:Data capture of field data / as-laid informationGIS Maintenance and versioning administrationDesktop investigations using GIS and supporting documents.Creation of maps used for design reports.Creation of maps used for wayleaves / land acquisitions.Compilation of Investigative ReportsThe location for this role will be in our Dublin office.RequirementsThe Candidate....The ideal candidate will have:Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems – Smallworld GIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth.Experience in Data Capture / Digitising into GIS, and versioning administration3rd level degree or certification in GIS, CAD, engineering, or equivalent experience.Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.Fluent written and spoken English is essential.Full clean driving license.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.Other informationWhat we
