Position description
Job title: Design Engineer (Flooding/River Modelling) M/F
Contract type: Permanent

J.B. Barry and Partners, now part of the Egis Group, seeks a Drainage Engineer with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The role involves project leadership and reporting to senior staff. J.B. Barry and Partners is a leading civil engineering consultancy involved in major projects worldwide.
Job responsibilities:
Work independently and within the company's quality system.
Collaborate with other design engineers and delegate tasks to technicians as needed.
Candidate profile:
2-5 years post-graduate experience, with at least 2 years in flood risk and river modelling.
Honours degree in Civil Engineering (QII Level 8 minimum).
Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and hydraulic modelling using HEC-RAS (1D/2D) and Flood Modeller.
Proficiency with GIS software, data management, and Civil 3D.
Experience in hydrological flow estimation and Section 50 applications.
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience requirement: 2-5 years
