About the Role – We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Based in Ireland , and reporting to the UK/IRE Finance Director , this position plays a critical role in managing the financial operations of the business.
The successful candidate will lead a small finance team and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and financial planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with proven leadership experience who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities –
Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.
Manage company cash flow and provide associated forecasts and reports.
Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) , including sales and profitability.
Oversee payroll , employee benefits, VAT , and other regulatory and compliance duties.
Supervise and support the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
Assist in preparation of the annual budget , budget updates, and rolling forecasts including P&L and cash flow projections.
Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the Group Finance team.
Maintain and control the Fixed Asset Register .
Oversee inventory, costing, and stock control data to support business accuracy and decision-making.
Prepare year-end statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
Collaborate closely with purchasing, sales , and other internal departments to support financial accuracy and insight.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data within SAP Business One .
Qualifications & Experience –
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
Strong leadership and people management skills , with the ability to build a cohesive team.
Demonstrated experience with business systems , ideally SAP Business One .
Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to identifying improvements and efficiencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Proven ability to meet deadlines , deliver under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Proficiency in advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capabilities.
