PLC/SCADA Automation Engineer - Dublin - 12 month contract
Do you want to work with an exciting company that is an established market leader within its niche field?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a PLC/SCADA Automation Engineer to join one of our industry-leading clients in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Maintain compliance at all times with site standards and procedures.
Manage and execute the installation of obsolescence upgrades to automation elements on vendor package equipment systems.
Manage vendor activities on obsolescence and upgrade projects under the direction of the Automation Manager.
Manage and execute the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new vendor package equipment systems.
Support commissioning activities.
Witness or perform FAT & SAT execution.
Draft, review, and approve automation change packs to support system remediation and optimizations at various project stages.
Author validation plans and approve executed FAT/SAT protocols.
Develop, review, and approve VPE SOPs.
Prepare permits to work, SPAs, etc., for work on active projects as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of Rockwell Automation Control-Logix, Studio 5000, and FT View is essential.
Knowledge of Siemens S7, Win CC, and TIA Portal is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of DCS systems such as Delta V / Honeywell is an advantage.
Knowledge of clean/grey utilities systems.
Knowledge of process systems such as centrifuge, parts washers, autoclaves.
Understanding of applicable regulations such as Annex 11, GAMP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
7+ years of experience in a GMP environment, preferably in Pharma/Biopharma.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work as part of a wider team and to lead projects under the direction of a manager.
