OverviewSSA are recruiting aPrincipal Thermal Coating Engineeron behalf of a global MedTech manufacturer.This is a senior, on-site hire based in Cork.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and validation of thermal and surface coating processes for medical devicesProvide technical leadership in coating materials, deposition methods, and process optimisationCollaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure scalability and compliance with EU and FDA regulationsDevelop and maintain coating specifications, documentation, and process controlsTroubleshoot and resolve coating-related issues in production and product developmentMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence across the teamStay abreast of emerging coating technologies and drive continuous innovationRequirementsDegree or higher in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline5+ years' experience in coating technologies, ideally within MedTech, pharma, or advanced manufacturingDeep knowledge of thermal spray, PVD, CVD, or related deposition techniquesStrong understanding of medical device regulations (ISO *****, FDA, EU MDR)Proven track record in process validation, documentation, and regulatory complianceExcellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skillsHow to applyApply now for a confidential discussion.Please contactConor O'Donnellat SSA Group at ****** or ****************.#J-*****-Ljbffr
