Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Community Respite ServicesLocation: Dundalk / Drogheda / Bettystown / CarlingfordRL Management & Consulting Agency are recruiting Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) on behalf of our client to join their Community Respite Services.This is a rewarding opportunity for HCAs with experience in healthcare or social care to support children and young people with additional needs in a safe, supportive, and homely environment.Role OverviewAs a Healthcare Assistant in the respite service, you will provide care and support to children and young people with a range of needs, including behavioural and developmental challenges.You will contribute to a person-centred approach, supporting independence, safety, and wellbeing, while working as part of a dedicated and professional team.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality care and supervision in line with individual care and behaviour support plans.Assist with personal care, daily routines, and participation in recreational and community activities.Support positive behaviours and promote inclusion, independence, and dignity.Collaborate with colleagues to implement care and behaviour support strategies effectively.Safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.Maintain accurate records in accordance with service requirements.RequirementsQQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent (essential).Previous HCA experience, preferably in social care, disability, or respite services.Full driving licence and access to a car (essential).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing person-centred care.Awareness of safeguarding, challenging behaviour, and person-centred support.What's on OfferFlexible working hours across a range of shifts.Competitive rates of pay.Comprehensive training and ongoing development opportunities.Experience in a supportive team environment within community respite services.Multiple positions available across Dundalk, Drogheda, Bettystown, and Carlingford.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentPay: €*****-€***** per hourExpected hours: 8 – 38 per weekBenefits:Company eventsEmployee assistance programFlexitimeFree or subsidised travelOn-site parkingSick payWellness programWork Location: In person
