Quality Control Technician (One Year Fixed Term Contract)Location: SMARTPLY, Waterford, IrelandKey ResponsibilitiesMonitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and provide feedback to production teamsWork closely with production teams, process engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actionsConduct product testing, inputting data into the database, and analysing quality results to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.Support R&D and innovation projects, Plan, Test and Report.Support cross-functional teams across departments driving performance excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.Document any noncompliance and ensure that recorded compliance issues are resolved and corrected.Assist with technical administration functions via Q-Pulse as requiredEnsure 6S is applied to all work areas and equipment.Support environmental department with the monitoring and testing of water samples across the site.Improve product guidelines / documentation and standard work proceduresAssist external testing requirements for new products.Ensure testing, measuring and monitoring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained as per Smartply calibration scheduleConduct Internal IMS audits as part of Smartply auditing schedulePromote a culture of Quality within MEDITE SMARTPLYTypical Qualifications, Knowledge, ExperienceThird level qualification in a relevant science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.A strong track record of team working in quality control is essentialExcellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills requiredSelf-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one's own initiativeCreativity, Flexibility, analytical thinking and attention to detailMust be willing to work a rotational schedule including day and evening shifts.Must be willing and able to work at our MEDITE MDF facility as required, with flexibility to travel between sites.To apply please send CV and Cover Letter to: ****** with Quality Control Technician in the subject line.#J-*****-Ljbffr
