Overview
Inspire Fitness Centre is the trading name of a leisure centre operated by National Deaf Village Sports & Leisure Co Ltd (NDVSLC).
NDVSLC is a subsidiary of Reach Deaf Services, a registered charity, which provides a wide range of services to Deaf and DeafBlind people.
Inspire Fitness operates a modern leisure centre comprising a 25 metre pool, baby pool, gymnasium, and grass and Astro pitches on an attractive campus on the Ratoath Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.
Role and Purpose
The company wishes to expand its Board of Directors to implement a Strategic Plan to make Inspire Fitness the 'Fitness Provider of Choice in Dublin 7'.
We are ideally seeking individuals with experience in this industry to contribute to our financial, risk, governance, and HR competencies at board level.
Responsibilities (Board Governance)
Contribute to the development and oversight of the organisation's strategic plan and long-term direction.
Provide governance leadership and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Oversee financial stewardship, risk management, and internal controls.
Support HR strategy, leadership development, and organisational culture.
Represent the organisation to stakeholders and promote its mission and services to the Deaf and DeafBlind communities.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in the leisure, sport, or nonprofit sectors is preferred.
Track record in financial oversight, risk management, governance, or human resources at a senior level.
Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative leadership skills.
