Sánas provides an alternative respite service for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.Through our centre we provide a range of relaxing and engaging activities, as well as supporting engagement in local amenities.We are welcoming applications for Direct Support Workers in our in Wicklow Town, Co.WicklowJob descriptionSánas provides alternative respite support for children and young adults with an intellectual disability and/or autism.The centres operates an after school & weekend service during term time, and the centre is open everyday during school holidays.Through our purpose-designed centre in Wicklow Town, we provide an environment that promotes a range of needs, from therapeutic and relaxation to stimulating and developmental.As well as on-site engagement, we also encourage the use of local indoor and outdoor community amenities.Our team of Direct Support Workers are overseen by Team Leads and follow carefully developed person-centred plans for each person in the service.We are hiring enthusiastic people who are passionate about developing the lives of children and young adults in their community.What we offer youRoster flexibilityHourly rate of €*****- €***** depending on experience/educationFortnightly payRefer-a-Friend ProgramBike-to-work schemeFully sponsored QQI Level 5 and Level 6 coursesExcellent career progression opportunitiesTo be considered for this position you will have;QQI Level 5 – Health Care Award or it's equivalentExperience working in a healthcare or social care environmentPrevious experience in providing care for either children/adults with an intellectual disability and autismExperience of working with people who have behaviours of concernAn outgoing personalityFluent EnglishWe currently have 3 fulltime positions available or parttime equivalentJob Type: Full-timePay: €*****-€***** per hourBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee assistance programWork Location: In person
