Process Scientist - Technical Services/Manufacturing Sciences (TS/MS)
The Process Scientist TS/MS will be responsible for providing technical support for existing manufacturing processes, in addition to the development, commercialization, technology transfer of new processes into the operations/manufacturing environment.
The successful applicant will build a deep technical expertise in their area of responsibility and demonstrate strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
They will also work to continuously improve process performance by implementing new technologies and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Have a deep understanding of the laboratory model and a thorough knowledge of the process control strategy and its implementation in the manufacturing environment
Provide technical support for the commercialization and technology transfer of new processes into the operations/manufacturing environment
Be the expert on the process chemistry and overall molecule control strategy, including development history, impurity generation and rejection etc.
Ensure maintenance of control strategy through lifecycle
Transferring new processes/technology from Lilly Development and/or third party operations to Eli Lilly Kinsale.
Be familiar with and capable of executing a robust lab model for new or existing products
Build technical expertise in the area of responsibility and demonstrate strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
Ensure the process is in-control, capable, compliant and maintained in a validated state through continual monitoring.
Identify process improvements and participate in implementation of Lean initiatives.
Provide training and mentorship for new personnel
Generate scientific reports and technical documentation
Document and appropriately communicate aspects of work and learnings at internal and external fora (may include participation at scientific meetings)

Educational Requirements:
PhD or MSc in Chemistry (Organic / Synthetic / Medicinal / Analytical)
>2 years Industrial experience preferred but not required.
Personal Considerations
The Process Scientist role will operate on standard days or a shift position.
The job may involve some scheduled overtime and non-scheduled call-in time to respond to business needs.
