We have an excellent job opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to set up and lead our Civil Engineering team in Johnstown, Naas.Build the Future of Power with UsYour skills will contribute to impactful projects that shape the future.If you can turn complex ideas into practical designs, we want you on our team.At Powercomm, your work won't just sit in a file —it will shape the infrastructure of tomorrow.Powercomm Group is recognised as one of the leading High Voltage and Medium Voltage engineering services companies in Ireland, the UK, and Europe, delivering world-class solutions to the segments we serve.We offer high and medium voltage electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance services for bespoke and full turnkey solutions.Job Summary:We have an excellent job opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to set up and lead our Civil Engineering team in Johnstown, Naas.The team will provide Civil & Electrical design services to various clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering industry e.g. Substations, Solar Park, Wind, Battery StorageYour Blueprint for Success:Client Facing PositionTrain and mentor Graduate Design Engineers, overseeing their work, and checking their calculations.Lead project design from conception to completion.Collaborate with brilliant engineers & project teamsLiaise with Clients and Local Authorities on the project.BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with postgraduate design experience with an Engineering consultancy.Building structure design experience using all the main materials on a variety of structural projects, but with particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, New and Existing Substation Buildings, and DrainageHighly motivated Engineer with previous consultancy experienceExperience in Eurocodes is essentialKnowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc)Proficiency in Civil Design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage.Experience mentoring Junior Engineers.Level 8 degree in relevant field (level 9 is advantageous).Chartered status preferred.6+ years relevant experience.Exciting, high-profile projects that make a difference.Competitive salary and benefits.Contributory pension scheme.Qualifications & ExperienceWhy us?If you've got 6+ years in civil design and the drive to build something that lasts, we want to hear from you.At Powercomm, we believe diversity drives innovation.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.We welcome applications from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and we make recruitment and employment decisions based solely on merit, skills, and potential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
