Job Summary:

We have an excellent job opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to set up and lead our Civil Engineering team in Johnstown, Naas.

The team will provide Civil & Electrical design services to various clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering industry e.g. Substations, Solar Park, Wind, Battery Storage

Your Blueprint for Success:

- Client Facing Position
- Train and mentor Graduate Design Engineers, overseeing their work, and checking their calculations.
- Lead project design from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with brilliant engineers & project teams
- Liaise with Clients and Local Authorities on the project.
- BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with postgraduate design experience with an Engineering consultancy.
- Building structure design experience using all the main materials on a variety of structural projects, but with particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, New and Existing Substation Buildings, and Drainage
- Highly motivated Engineer with previous consultancy experience
- Experience in Eurocodes is essential
- Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc)
- Proficiency in Civil Design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage.
- Experience mentoring Junior Engineers.
- Level 8 degree in relevant field (level 9 is advantageous).
- Chartered status preferred.
- 6+ years relevant experience.
