, a national initiative to position Ireland as a global leader in deep-tech innovation, advanced manufacturing, and semiconductor research.
Tyndall National Institute
, University College Cork, Ireland is one of Europe's leading research organisations in semiconductors, photonics and deep-tech research, innovation and researcher development.
Tyndall is a key actor and hosting partner in the delivery of the 'Chips for Europe Initiative' (EU Chips Act), participating in EU Pilot Lines FAMES, NANOIC and PIXEurope.
With a complement of 600 people, and €300million infrastructure, Tyndall has developed world-leading facilities and expertise in
semiconductor materials, devices, circuits and systems
.
Targeted applications include Information and Communications, Health & Life Sciences, Agritech & Food Security, Energy and Climate Mitigation, emerging fields such as quantum, and novel computing paradigms.
We are now looking for global talent in
Materials and Sensors, IC Design, Microelectronics, Photonics, Power Electronics and Magnetics, Heterogeneous Integration/Packaging, Quantum Technology and Semiconductor System Applications.
Please note this programme is only open to Research Leaders who are currently employed outside of Ireland.

What We're Looking For
16+ years of post-PhD experience
with international recognition in your field
A compelling track record in delivering scientific excellence, securing funding, and leading high-performing research teams
A strong, independent research vision in areas aligned with Tyndall's key domains:
Semiconductor, Photonics, Magnetics, Integrated Circuits, Materials, Quantum, Heterogeneous Integration, Packaging, Power Electronics, IC Design.
Interest in contributing to talent development, EDI, and open research practices
Support from Tyndall
Tyndall offers a
