At Medtronic, you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all.You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeMedtronic values what makes you unique.Be part of a company that thinks differently to solve problems, make progress, and deliver meaningful innovations.Our PurposeAt our Packaging & Labelling (P&L) Engineering Department in Medtronic, we focus on the development of cutting-edge medical device packaging across Medtronic.Packaging Engineers are directly involved in working on the development of innovative packaging for use in medical procedures, as part of the R&D team.Medtronic Packaging R&D is seeking an experienced engineer to focus on all stages of the development process from concept generation through to commercialisation.A Day in the Life of a Packaging Engineer IIYou will contribute to and partner with the New Product Development (NDP) functions to define, execute, and deliver on NPD requirements.You will participate in the development of packaging components and assemblies for medical devices.You will participate in sourcing, testing, and approving materials.Support verification, validation, and implementation of package systems for both design and process development.Support technical root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.Develop technical documentation, including design specs, input requirements, validations, and technical reports in accordance with quality system requirements.Utilize knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging and labelling, ensuring robust package validation and qualification.Utilize project management skills to gain alignment, lead cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement projects that focus on "best in class" outcomes.You will utilize functional excellence in packaging development following Design for Reliability and Manufacturability practices (DRM), 3D Software Design (SolidWorks, FEA), Statistics (Minitab), along with Project Management techniques.Key Skills & ExperienceWe are looking for a qualified person with a minimum Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Science or related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.We are looking for a dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.We are looking for individuals with experience in biomedical materials, processing knowledge, and medical device design procedures.We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in innovative design, product development, and manufacturing.We are looking for a good communicator and fluency in English, both in writing and speaking.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.We recognize their contributions.They share in the success they help to create.We offer a wide range of benefits, resources, and competitive compensation plans designed to support you at every career and life stage.This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).Medtronic is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.#J-18808-Ljbffr
