Solution Engineer – Azure App Innovation

Responsibilities
Own technical discussions with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs; using consultative and/or Challenger method; establish rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams.
Be the Trusted advisor and proactively identify and understand customers' pain points; design and offer solutions (with business case) to technical leaders.
Drive technical assessments to map the current landscape and develop technical migration plans, supporting a solid migration business case.
Build technology strategies by aligning customer business outcomes with appropriate Azure technology frameworks, resolving concerns, removing technical blockers, and validating investment business cases; collaborate on technology roadmaps for implementation.
Act as an Azure platform evangelist for App Dev, App Service, GitHub, VS Studio, focusing on modernization and migration of applications to the cloud.
Design solutions using technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills, and methodology to secure customer's technical decisions and meet their needs; ensure alignment with technical decision-makers and drive POCs and MVPs.
Represent the Voice of Customer by sharing insights, connecting with Engineering to remove blockers, and driving product improvements.
Facilitate and manage partner resources and processes for Pilot/POC/MVP scaling.
Own milestone actions, proactively communicate progress, and close tasks effectively.
Identify new opportunities within customer engagements and coordinate with Solution Specialists for pursuit.
Maintain and grow expertise in cloud migration, stay updated with market trends, and share insights within the technical community.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND experience in technical pre-sales or consulting.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field AND relevant experience.
Or equivalent experience.
Enterprise-scale experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructures, architecture, migrations, and technology management.
Understanding of large-scale application portfolios and migration to cloud.
Experience with cloud-native app hosting, software design, deployment, and refactoring/migrations.
Knowledge of web application servers, cloud application design, software architecture, Agile, SCRUM, ALM.
Experience with Azure App Service, API management, serverless, Kubernetes, microservices, SDKs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven pre-sales or consulting experience.
Experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises architectures, migrations, industry standards.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Architect, Development, Security).
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio.
Understanding of partner ecosystems and leveraging partner solutions.
Language Requirements:
German and English.
