SimoTech have an opportunity for a
Junior Automation Engineer
to join our team, supporting one of our leading pharmaceutical clients based in Cork.
The role involves the design, development and testing of Foxboro DCS code, as well as working with engineers from other disciplines to support projects.
The successful candidate will work within a team of Automation Engineers, on site, providing the opportunity to learn and develop whilst contributing to a key MES project for our client.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting automation projects on a Biopharma process.
Create automation Functional and Detailed Design documents.
Code and test Foxboro Modules, Graphics, Interlocks and Alarms.
Review Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) against I/O lists.
Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and deliver automation solutions that meet business needs.
Support commissioning and qualification activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
2+ years' experience as an Automation Engineer within a life sciences environment.
2+ years' experience using a DCS automation system such as Foxboro, DeltaV or ABB.
Knowledge of S-88 Batch Standard.
Good understanding of GAMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
