Our client is one of the leading construction contractors internationally, with its annual turnover increasing year on year.
The current opportunity is for aspiring / proven Site Engineers to join an already established project and team.
Their client book is strong and promises security, working nationally on some of the largest flagship projects, in Ireland & UK.
The order book / projects to tender can boast a number of projects within construction: Residential, Commercial and Educational developments.
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Engineer to join our team in Ireland.
The Construction Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or potential risks on the construction site
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders
Collaborate with the design team to resolve any engineering or design issues that may arise during construction
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and building codes
Manage and monitor construction budget and expenses, making adjustments as needed to control costs
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and subcontractors
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Proven experience as a Construction Site Engineer or similar role in the educational industry
In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including project teams, subcontractors, and clients
Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
