What you'll do as an Assistant Merchandiser:
As an Assistant Merchandiser at Primark, you'll have ownership of your own sections and work with the Merchandising and Buying leadership teams.
You'll develop critical communication techniques on the job and, alongside your Merchandiser, you'll develop and manage trend-led ranges that surprise and delight our customers.
This is your contribution to our commercial competitiveness and to delivering on our value proposition.
While supporting Primark as a global brand, you'll also gain a deep understanding of our regional customers and use data and analytics to tailor ranges which will deliver for the different customers in all our global markets.

What You'll Do:
In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets.
Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:
You'll be given the ability to deliver your agreed KPI's, including sales, stock and contribution – planning a commercial and profitable range.
No risky business - Identify and manage any trading risks and advise your team.
Expert in the field - Build a commercial and strategic range which considers regional differences, and allows balance of newness, colour, price and product attributes, relevant to season and grades.
Daily business - Work in partnership with your buying team to ensure the delivery of day-to-day activities – from reporting and stock management, to sales and markdowns.
Coach and develop your Trainee Merchandiser, guiding them on each of the activities.
Reporting ace - Manage tools and reports to ensure that we meet our strategic goals, conduct regular trading reviews to maximise sales and give valuable recommendations to your Merchandiser and other teams and departments.
360 views - Develop a deep, broad knowledge of Primark product in multiple product areas, considering factors such as past products and competitor analysis.
Innovator at heart - Seek to promote innovation and use insights to identify future trends, making recommendations on these.
What You'll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
An experienced collaborator who's worked in a Merchandising role for at least three years experience equivalent to Assistant Merchandiser level.
Relevant qualification in a fashion, analytical or commerce-related subject, or equivalent experience.
You will be a skilled communicator, and a strong relationship builder with experience managing stakeholders cross functionally.
Strategically minded, with proficient numerical abilities and the ability to identify commercial opportunities.
Proficient communication, engagement and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, team based, deadline-oriented environment.
The ability to effectively manage complex tasks and multiple priorities.
