BDO Ireland has senior consultancy positions available within our R&D Tax Credit and grant incentives group for qualified computer science, engineering, or science professionals.
The role offers the opportunity to work with innovative Irish companies across various sectors.
The ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in R&D Tax Credit or grant services, and will be involved in project management, client engagement, and technical analysis to determine eligibility for incentives.
The role suits those who enjoy technical discussions, scientific writing, and clear communication of complex information.
This position provides a chance to develop understanding of the financial and technical aspects of business and the impact of R&D incentives.
Key Responsibilities
Examine client operations to identify qualifying activities and develop methodologies to maximize incentives.
Plan and execute technical engagements, including interviewing technical and financial personnel.
Assess R&D expenditures, activities, and project details.
Prepare technical documentation compliant with legislation and guidelines.
Assist clients in developing systems for future claims.
Support clients during discussions and audits with Revenue Commissioners.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
2-3 years' experience in R&D Tax Credits or Grant services.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, preferably with a 2.1 result.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Ability to understand technical concepts and translate into reports.
Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player and independent worker.
Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with Office 365 advantageous.
