The salary scale for this role is €82,004 - 97,193

In this role, you will lead the development of a suite of ESG focused work streams to equip the Irish agri-food industry with meeting emerging ESG regulatory and commercial requirements as well as the day to day management of the Origin Green Programme.
What you'll do
Manage the Bord Bia Origin Green Programme for companies, maintaining oversight on internal governance of the programme and supporting the Operations Team in implementation of relevant policies and procedure
Provide ESG input into the ongoing development of the structure & content of Origin Green across all levels of the programme inclusive of farm, producers, retailers and food service operators
Develop a network of key contacts within Origin Green members companies, establishing strong working relationships and acting as a main point of contact, providing support to companies developing and implementing sustainability plans
Manage key stakeholder and member relationships through regular engagement and developing collaborative opportunities to further enhance the Origin Green Programme and support and champion members sustainability efforts
Conduct in-depth agri-food ESG assessments at a sector level to identify key industry sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance indicators
Proactively manage suppliers and service providers to Bord Bia with respect to the effective operation of the Origin Green Programme
Manage Bord Bia involvement in relevant national and international sustainability and agri food forums, to develop relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration for the benefit of Origin Green members and actively disseminate knowledge from these back into the organisation
Provide expert support on an individual and group basis to Origin Green farm and company members on ESG policy and customer requirements impacting the Irish agri-food industry
Provide sustainability input into the ongoing development and evolution of the structure & content of Origin Green across all levels of the programme inclusive of farm, producers, retailers and food service operators
Monitor and report on the Origin Green programme's sustainability performance at a programme and sector level
Actively support the professional development of the wider Sustainability and Quality Assurance Team particularly in the area of ESG
Manage the performance of team members by determining and delegating priorities, through regular, formal PDP and PGP conversations and informal feedback and coaching
Manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia procedures
Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating Model
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
Knowledge:
In depth knowledge of ESG reporting standards (e.g., CDP, CSRD, IISB TCFD, TNFD, EUDR, SASB, GRI, etc.) and broader agri-food sustainability reporting obligations.
Advanced sector-relevant ESG knowledge across the Irish agri-food supply chain e.g. food, drink, horticulture, meat, seafood, PCF etc.
Experience working with board and diverse stakeholders and businesses, including experience of facilitation, persuading, aligning and influencing groups
Skills & Capabilities:
Experience operating in food, drink and horticulture business sustainability.
Strong project management capability and reporting skills
Ability to lead stakeholder engagements with NGOs, state agencies and industry bodies.
Ability to develop and manage relationships with global organisations and clients, and function in an advisory capacity.
Advanced Written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time management ability.
Advanced IT skills, including team collaboration tools, Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI.
Strong interpersonal, negotiating and relationship building skills.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
Knowledge:
High level understanding of the One Bord Bia operating model and tools.
5 years' experience operating in business sustainability at an appropriate level.
Knowledge and understanding of the full diversity of agri-food industry in Ireland and abroad.
A track record in developing and delivering on opportunities and successful growth outcomes.
Skills & Capabilities:
Qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Business Sustainability, Environmental Management, Corporate Governance, etc.
Understanding of planning & operating model and tools.
Leadership capability to inspire, motivate and develop in own team and across the organisation
