Responsibilities
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Work on non-conformance investigations.
Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities to support the business.
May collaborate in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Ensure compliance with all applicable department and site-wide procedures and regulations.
Support internal and external audit preparation and activity, including application and maintenance of quality standards for all activities involved.
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum of a bachelor's degree (Level 7 NFQ) in Engineering/Science or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant direct Science/Engineering experience within a medical device environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Practical working knowledge of statistical data analysis, problem solving and quality improvement tools and techniques preferable.
Technical writing skills.
Ability to multi-task and to take initiative is essential.
Effective time management skills.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with others; shows respect and consideration for others.
