Intermediate Instrumentation Engineer

Overview Are you an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with experience working in a multi discipline team? Due to our on-going success securing large-scale projects for, we have a requirement for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Instrumentation Department in Dublin.
To be successful and to enjoy the challenge of this position, the role will suit an Intermediate Engineer who has previously been involved in large projects (TIC €200 MM) from concept to completion.
With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include leading various stages of design from concept to completion.
This is an opportunity to be involved in a dynamic engineering department with exposure to multiple projects across different industry sectors.

Responsibilities Analysing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions Providing support to fee and capital budget proposals as required Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue Instrumentation packages in an efficient and lean manner Mentoring Instrumentation engineering staff at junior levels, as required Extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor's representatives and project field personnel Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings Participate in project site visits to monitor, review and assist sign-off Instrument installations Qualifications Third Level Degree in Instrumentation Engineering (NFQ Level 8) or similar discipline 5+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of Instrumentation engineering design services including (but not limited to): Instrument Index, I/O Lists/ Allocation, Instrument Specifications/ Data Sheets, Layouts, Cable Containment, Block Diagrams, System Architecture, ATEX / Hazardous Areas Proficient in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) & digital project delivery is an advantage Advanced knowledge of all applicable Instrumentation engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices Commercially aware and have the ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients Skilled in project execution, budget control, resource planning and change management Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents Professional approach and demeanour A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business Why PM Group?
