EXTERNAL COMPETITION Applications are invited for the following position within the nutrition and DIETETICS Department: Ref No:2025/100 Senior Dietitian Womens Health TITLE AND GRADE: Senior Dietitian for Womens Health (Permanent) REPORTING TO: Dietitian Manager ROLE SUMMARY: The Senior dietitian will be required to work collaboratively with other dietetic and MDT colleagues to provide patient centred care to women within their area of assignment.
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time, 35 Hours per week (Mon-Fri).
Flexibility in working hours may be required to match service needs.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Professional Qualifications and statutory registration Essential: Registered as a dietitian with the Dietitians Registration Board of CORU(proof required) Clinical experience and knowledge 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification dietetic experience [Suitable candidates with less than 3 years clinical experience may be considered and appointed at Staff Grade and regraded to Senior after 3 years].
Desirable Experience in a womens health (gynaecology, maternity) or diabetes clinical setting.
Experience delivering a dietetic service in groups and via telehealth platforms.
Formal training in behaviour change/motivational interviewing Skills and attributes: The requisite clinical skills, knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and professional ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Knowledge of relevant national policies and clinical guidelines.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, at both individual and group level.
Is caring, empathetic and patient and can apply behaviour change and motivational interview skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining good working relationships and working as part of a team.
Is confident, self-motivated, innovative and reliable and capable of working on ones own initiative.
Demonstrates a strong patient-centred ethos and takes pride in the quality of service delivered.
Excellent problem solving, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable and balance demands with responsibilities.
Demonstrate dedication to maintaining CPD in this area with a willingness to develop new skills when required.
Willingness to contribute and participated in audit, evaluation, quality improvement.
